Bio

Elizabeth focuses her practice on reuniting families and helping individuals reach their American dream. As an adoptive mom of four siblings, she understands the importance of keeping families together.

From 2006 until 2013, Elizabeth assisted an immigration attorney as a paralegal managing the processes for immigration matters including permanent resident/green card applications, petitions for family members, immigrant and non-immigrant visa applications, adjustment of status applications, and citizenship and naturalization. She realized that she wanted to take the lead and help people reach their American dream. It was at that time that she decided to enroll in law school.

In 2015, she graduated from Concord Law School with highest honors. She was the co-valedictorian receiving the Jack R. Goetz award for achieving the highest grade point average. She established her law practice, The E.A. Wood Law Firm, in 2015.

Elizabeth is admitted to the Supreme Court of North Carolina, The U.S. District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina and the Supreme Court of California. She has been a member of the American Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2011 and is a volunteer for the AILA Military Assistance Program.

Elizabeth is a board member for the Interfaith Refugee Ministry in New Bern, NC, and board member of the Coastal Women’s Forum. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, New Bern Chamber of Commerce, North Carolina Bar Association, California Bar Association, Craven County Bar Association, and Coastal Women's Forum.

She lives in New Bern, North Carolina with her husband, John, and their four children. In her spare time, she enjoys boating, running, and making jewelry.
